Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week is coming up May 4–8, and we’re excited to celebrate the amazing team at Edison Elementary all week long! We’ll kick things off with Sidewalk Shoutouts on Sunday, May 3 from 2–3pm. We’re inviting families to decorate the front walk with chalk messages of appreciation—we’ll have some chalk available, but families are welcome to bring their own. In the case of inclement weather, please check the PTO’s social media pages for cancellation updates. Monday our staff will be greeted by our messages as they enter the school!
Throughout the week, students can join in the fun with themed days and special activities, including dressing like their favorite teacher! We’ll wrap up the week by encouraging students to share cards and notes of thanks to show just how much our teachers and staff mean to our school community.
Field Day is just around the corner on Friday, May 22nd, and we’ll be looking for volunteers to help make this fun day a success! Volunteers typically assist with running activity stations, guiding student groups, and helping keep events running smoothly throughout the day.

This special event is exclusively for Edison Elementary students and their beloved adult guests, providing the perfect setting for a night of fun and celebration.
Dress to impress and step onto the dance floor with your favorite grown-up for a family-oriented Valentine’s extravaganza. Remember, each student must be accompanied by an adult—this is a cherished time for families to enjoy together!

Parents can enjoy a treat from the Kona Ice truck or coffee truck (extra fee applies) while the kids play.
🎶 Don’t miss a special performance by our amazing second graders at noon!
💛 We need your help! To make sure every child has a great time, we’re looking for a few more volunteers to help with games, snacks, and activities. Even a short shift makes a big difference!
